Now, this isn't to say that the premise is bad, I quite like it. Twig's reasoning made sense, he was just looking for people to cling to, as he's codependent. Geddy was fine, had an obvious reason for being there, and was generally likable. The only characters I didn't see a problem with were Geddy and Twig. He was ornamental instrumental, sure, but nothing more than a plot device. And you never learn anything else about him. Solus: Perhaps my biggest issue, character-wise. He offers nothing to the story or anything else for that matter. Strix: Seems to be there only for characters to make comparisons. Sure, they peppered in some foreshadowing, but it was clearly an afterthought.īonacci and Fib: Disappear off the face of the planet.

He's been with the pirates this entire time (900 years or so) and never once thought, "I should do something else." Yet, when he talks to Otus for not even 5 minutes, he makes a life-changing decision to leave the pirates. Then suddenly, for a second, he's okay.Īlphonse: this dude is old. His entire character is made up of this one trait. I'll voice some of my issues with the writing:Īsio: He's a dick the entire game. You don't need to be personally insulted because I don't like a game that you do. It wasn't a review, it was a stated opinion.
